An Update on Computer Assisted Coding (CAC)
This seminar will provide an update on Computer
Assisted Coding (CAC), its use for inpatient coding,
and the results being achieved.

Dee-L & Associates, LLC
Dee Lang has 30 years of HIM experience. She is President and owner
of Dee-L & Associates, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in
computer-assisted coding and de-identification of PHI data. Some of
her current consulting roles include VP of Business Development and
Customer Relations for DE-ID Data Corp and VP of Product Management
for Precyse Solutions. She has had senior positions with Diskriter,
MedQuist and CodeRyte. Other positions have included Director of
Health Information Management for Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh. She
is an active member of AHIMA, PHIMA, and WPHIMA and currently serves
as a Facilitator for the Computer-Assisted Coding Communities of
Practice for AHIMA. She has served on the Executive Board of
Directors for PHIMA and has been a Chairperson for various PHIMA
Committees. She has spoken at AHIMA and various state associations
and has authored articles on topics such as computer-assisted
coding, benchmarking and transcription.
