The Central Pennsylvania
Health Information Management
Association (CPHIMA) is committed to the
quality of health information for the
benefit of patients, providers, and
other users of clinical data.
As a regional
association of the Pennsylvania Health
Information Management Association
(PHIMA), our professional organization
strives to:

Be recognized as
central Pennsylvania's resource body
on health information management.

Assure members have
the means and methods to maintain
continuing education requirements of
the American Health Information
Management Association (AHIMA).

Support health
information management & technology
programs within the central
Pennsylvania region .

Serve as a resource
of central Pennsylvania members in
coordination and sponsoring
activities of PHIMA and AHIMA.

Create an
environment for fostering networking
within the central Pennsylvania
region.
As the profession
responsible for management of health
information, CPHIMA strives to serve its
members and those who create and utilize
health information by:

Achieving and
maintaining the highest levels of
professional competence in those who
manage health information and its
related systems.

Being recognized as
central Pennsylvania's authoritative
body on health information.

Being an advocate
for the profession on governmental,
academic, social, and business
issues that affect the management of

professional standing of central
Pennsylvania's regional academic
programs.
