Career Center -  PHIMA Credentialed (RHIA/RHIT) Exam Reimbursement

PHIMA is offering Full Reimbursement* to any PHIMA member who has successfully graduated in good standing AND successfully passed the RHIA/RHIT credentials exam within this past fiscal year.  We as an association strongly feel  taking the RHIT/RHIA exam demonstrates a commitment to the field of Health Information Management. 

* Full Reimbursement - $230 RHIA and $220 for RHIT

Please note:  Reimbursement will be provided to eligible participates at the end of each Quarter – October, January, April, and July.  The schedule will be as follows:

• Applications completed in July to September will receive payment in October

• Applications completed in October to December will receive payment in January

• Applications completed in January to March will receive payment in April

• Applications completed in April to June will receive payment in July

The applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements: 

1. PHIMA member that has passed the RHIT or RHIA exam within one year post graduation.
   
2. The applicant must have graduated from an AHIMA approved HIM or HIT Program including the Independent Study Program or a graduate program in a field related to Health Information Management.
   
3. Current member of AHIMA and designate Pennsylvania as your Component State Association (CSA).

Several documents must be submitted for reimbursement.  These documents are:

1. Online application
   

2. Copy of the exam certificate
   

3. Copy of a passing certificate from an approved HIT/HIM program including the Independent Study Program or a graduating program in a field related to Health Information.
