Dear PHIMA Members,
It is my pleasure to announce that Linda McLinden,
RHIA, has accepted the position as our new
Executive Director.
Linda has been an AHIMA member since 1987. She
has served on the State and Local Level since
1992. She served PHIMA as an Executive Board
member in 2003-2004 and as President of LVHIMA in
1992-1993. She has a long history of volunteerism
with community organizations where she has
experience in membership development, creating
fundraisers and initiating training sessions.
Linda is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh
with a BS in HIM. She lives in Allentown, PA.
Since 1987 to present, she has operated successfully
holding management and teaching positions in HIM.
In these venues, Linda has scanned the spectrum of
business management from consulting, to designing
and managing a new HIM department, to most recently
as a member of core project team that oversees the
implementation of an organization-wide electronic
health record.
On behalf of PHIMA, we feel that Linda is more than
qualified for the position of Executive Director.
Linda will begin on June 1st. There
will be a transition period between June 1st
and June 15th while Linda is in
training. Lorri Luciano will stay on until June 15th
to handle the preparation.
