The presentation will cover issues relative to Core Measure Compliance for this quarter and meaningful use issues as relative to planning for Stage 2.

Lou Testa has been in the HIM profession 27 years, he has been a principal in Health Information Alliance, Inc., "HIA" for more than 20 years, currently the CEO. HIA is a professional HIM outsourcing, interim staffing and consulting resource to acute care facilities. At HIA Lou currently manages 25+ credentialed staff involved in the areas of Meaningful Use, Core Measure Consulting, PHC4 Compliance and IP, OP, and Physician Side Coding. Lou has several hospitals were entire departments are outsourced to HIA which he manages. Lou has his BAA in Operations Management, attending both Drexel University and Florida Atlantic University. Additionally his background has included experience with NCQA compliance, HEDIS compliance, clinical studies for HMOs, HAI and Cancer Registry services. Prior to HIA, Lou spent 7 years at SAZTEC International, Inc., involved with healthcare database construction working closely with major system vendors, HIM departments and IT departments. Lou is currently the Co-Chair of the Education Committee for SePHIMA, active in PHIMA, NJHIMA, and AHIMA. Additionally Lou sits on the AHIMA Meaningful Use Response Team to CMS, as well as the HIT advisory boards for several local Colleges.
