Description
PHIMA would like to begin your ICD-10 education with an anatomy and physiology refresher class. The goal of this class is to review anatomy and basic physiology that may be utilized in ICD-10 coding.
Course Objectives:
- provide coders with a review of Anatomy and Physiology appropriate to changes from ICD-9-CM to ICD-10/PCS
- provide coders with an advanced foundation in knowledge of body systems, and effects of disease
CEs: 1 per session * Qualifies for AHIMA ICD-10 CEU credits

Speaker
Anna Marie Kish, BSN, RN, ARNP, NP-C
Ms. Kish was born, raised, and educated in Pittsburgh PA. She received her BSN and Nurse Practitioner training at the University of Pittsburgh and is certified in Primary Care by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Pittsburgh and Florida for over 31 years. In addition to her clinical experience in primary care and mental health, she has been involved in providing education to other health care providers, patients, families, and community groups throughout her career. She is a recurring guest lecturer at Florida Atlantic University’s College of Nursing, Master’s Nurse Practitioner Program, teaching “Mental Status Exam and Psychological Assessment for the Primary Care Provider”, and precepted graduate students. She was active in implementing the electronic medical record and training other providers at the VA Medical Center West Palm Beach Florida. Ms. Kish is also a co-author of article, “Concurrent Posttraumatic Stress Disorder in Psychogeriatric Patients”, published in The Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry and Neurology”, Vol. 2, April-June 1989.
