This session will outline what governance and structure should be in place, as well as what areas of concern should be addressed, for a successful transition to ICD10. With the implementation date delay to October 2015, the session will also provide suggestions as to how best to utilize the additional months to make the best use of resources and focus on those activites that need additional time to implement.
Paul Randall is with Siemens Healthcare in the Strategic Consulting Division with Program Management responsibilities, currently focused on ICD10 transition activities.For the last couple of years Paul has led several Siemens clients in assessing, planning and executing the activities to accomplish a successful ICD-10 transition.Paul has been a healthcare information technology professional for over 30 years and has extensive management experience.He has led an managed numerous teams of business and technical staff that has successfully developed, implemented, integrated and supported critical systems to improve the clinical and operational efficiency of healthcare organizations.Previously, while employed at the Cleveland Clinic, he was awarded an annual Caregiver Award for outstanding employee engagement as well as an Innovator Award in recognition of bringing new technology to Cleveland Clinic patients.
