Honoring Our Education Legacy

Since 1938, PHIMA has been dedicated to promoting, improving and supporting the art and science of health information through education.  For over 80 years, PHIMA members and leaders have provided high-quality educational opportunities, in addition to supporting our students and future leaders.

Health information professionals have a shared desire to learn and to grow.  You have the opportunity now to ensure that you and future members of PHIMA will continue to experience the same high-quality education you have come to expect from PHIMA.  Become a member of The ’38 Society and help ensure PHIMA’s education legacy. 

The ’38 Society is for those members that believe education is the path to growth in health information.  There are two ways to support this mission:

The ’38 Society Educational Fund – PHIMA is committed to providing its members timely, relevant and informative educational opportunities for, both in-person and virtually.  Your donation will help build the foundation of education through experienced speakers and outstanding programs for our members.

The ’38 Society Scholarship Fund – PHIMA proudly supports and recognizes PA students pursuing their education as health information professions and members pursuing graduate education. The purpose of this scholarship program is to acknowledge and reward academic excellence, leadership and volunteerism.  100% of your donation is given out in scholarships.

All donors will be recognized in a weekly e-Alert, on the PHIMA website, and in the printed Annual Conference program.

PHIMA is a 501(c)6 organization, which means we are an organization that serves members/profession.  Donations to a 501(c)6 organization are not tax deductible.
