2022-23 PHIMA Strategic Plan

One of the biggest responsibilities of the PHIMA Board of Directors is to set the strategic direction of the organization.  Each year, the Board, Delegates, and Executive Director participate in a number of work sessions to review the AHIMA strategic plan and conduct a SWOT (strengths-weaknesses-opportunities-threats) analysis on each identified AHIMA strategic outcome.

Once the SWOT analysis is complete, this leadership group identifies:

• Short-term goals, priorities, and initiatives
• Action items/plans
• Summary of key performance indicators (KPI)
• Person responsible and target dates

The completed plan serves as a governing document and is reviewed and updated throughout the year. We begin each board meeting with a plan review to see what we’ve accomplished and what KPIs we need to complete.
