President’s Message & December Education Session Update
2021 has undoubtedly continued to bring more opportunities and challenges our way! In years past, we have had the privilege to host memorable holiday education sessions for our members. As with many organizations, we have been challenged by the restrictions of COVID-19. Whether it is employer travel and meeting policies, health and safety concerns, or even the peaks and valleys of infection rates in our communities, it has been not easy to plan for any in-person events.
Due to these circumstances, we feel it is in our best interest to withhold a December education session, including a virtual opportunity. We hope you have participated in a number of the webinars offered this calendar year, including February’s session on building emotionally health teams, June’s summer education session, and September’s fall coding webinar focused on FY22 MS-DRG, ICD-10CM, and ICD-10-PCS updates. We initially hoped to have an in-person or hybrid option available for December; however, the speakers lined up lose their effectiveness without a live audience.
With that said, we are very hopeful to reschedule these presenters and more for the Spring! Keep an eye for future communications. In the meantime, I wish you and yours a very happy Holiday season. May they be filled with cheer, warm memories, and happiness!
